BERNINA, is an international manufacturer of sewing and embroidery systems that was founded in Switzerland. Along with their establishment in Singapore however, they needed among other things a website where customers could contact them and most importantly purchase sewing/embroidery machines and accessories. This website would also work as a place where the employees of BERNINA Singapore refer to when they meet customers during their workshops and pop-up stores in Singapore that they from time to time are facilitating as part of their marketing strategy.
Apart from the technical side of things such as design, guidelines and complex information architecture, my job was also to oversee the content meaning making sure that all the content could be provided by the client(BERNINA). The shop has in its inventory over hundreds of articles that had to be manually imported which meant inserting all the product descriptions, prices, product images and everything else you see in the product pages.
Since launch, this responsive website has been working as an important digital marketing channel as well as driving its own sales reaching 5 figure revenue (in SGD) and attracting thousands of unique visitors.
