What I usually do

  • Already early into my career I got the opportunity to be hands on with every part of a product launch, and research wasn’t an exception.

    When possible, gathering and analyzing user data to inform my decision is something I highly prioritise to ensure that my design solutions are grounded in real user needs and behaviours or at least an educated guess.

  • For the work I do, I try to involve users’ feedback as much a reasonably possible. This can happen in various way depending on the scope and the resources of the project or product.

  • While I’m not purely a UI designer and not always something I prioritise at earlier stages of a project,
    I still believe creating visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces shouldn’t be a sacrifice when putting a prototype or product in front of a user.

  • In terms of my favourite part of the general design process, prototyping is what I am the most comfortable with.

    I can quickly transform ideas into interactive models, allowing for effective testing and iteration of design concepts. In contrast to most designers, I am far from a perfectionist (anymore) so I have no problem doing something quick and dirty in order to getting to the main solution quicker.

Hey, I’m Fatin.

This year, I am coming into my 8th year as a designer. Currently I work with UX at Inter IKEA in Malmö, Sweden.

I take pride in leading the journey from concept development to product launch while collaborating with multiple disciplines to create meaningful experiences, products, and results. Been involved in several different domains such as fintech, medtech and eCommerce. Have experience working with both customer and coworker-facing services in senior designer roles.
